How It Works
What exactly does MeddlerPR do? +
We place your brand, your executives, and your story in the publications your audience trusts. It is all done editorially, without sponsored labels or advertorial disclosures. Every placement is a genuine article written to publication standards, pitched through our established contributor relationships, and permanently indexed online.
How does the process work from start to finish? +
It starts with a strategy session where we audit your current editorial presence and agree on target publications and content angles. We then handle everything, from writing and editing to pitching and placement. You approve every piece before it goes to a publication. Once live, we deliver a full report with URLs, DA scores, and performance data.
Who will I be working with? +
You’ll work directly with a senior strategist from day one, not an account manager or a junior team member. The same person who sells you the campaign manages it and makes the placement decisions.
How long before we see the first placement go live? +
Most clients see their first placement live within 2–3 weeks of campaign launch. Tier-1 publications like Forbes, Inc., and Entrepreneur typically take 3–6 weeks due to editorial review cycles. We’ll give you a realistic timeline specific to your target publications during the strategy session.
Placements
Are the placements labelled as sponsored or paid content? +
No. Every placement we deliver is fully editorial. It is written to publication standards and indistinguishable from staff-written content. No sponsored labels, no advertorial disclosures. This is what separates our approach from paid media and traditional PR.
Which publications can you place us in? +
We have established contributor relationships across over 100 publications, including 40+ top-tier outlets such as Forbes, Inc., Entrepreneur, Fast Company, Business Insider, Yahoo, HubSpot Blog, TechCrunch, Mashable, Thrive Global, Medical News Today, Tech Times, Realty Times, AskMen, and many more niche outlets across all major verticals.
Can you get us into publications you don’t already have contacts at? +
Yes. While campaigns move fastest in publications where we have established contributor relationships, we regularly secure placements in new outlets too. With the right content angle and positioning, we can get you placed in most publications relevant to your industry. It may simply take a little longer than where we already have a direct connection.
Are the placements permanent? +
Yes. Every editorial placement we secure is permanently published on the publication’s website and indexed by Google. Unlike social media content or paid ads, it doesn’t disappear when you stop paying. It keeps building authority and generating referral traffic indefinitely.
What’s the difference between a placement and a backlink? +
A placement is a full editorial article in a publication. It builds brand credibility, drives referral traffic, and often includes a contextual follow link back to your site. A backlink alone is just the link. Our placements deliver both the editorial credibility and the SEO authority signal simultaneously.
Do the placements include follow links back to our site? +
Most editorial placements include at least one contextual follow link back to your website, naturally integrated within the article. The number and placement of links varies by publication, and we’ll clarify what’s typical for each outlet in your campaign brief.
Content
Do you write the content or do we? +
We handle everything, from research and writing to editing and pitching. You’ll approve every piece before it goes to a publication, so you always have final say on messaging, tone, and positioning. Most clients prefer to give us a brief and stay out of the writing process, but we’re happy to collaborate as closely or loosely as works for you.
Will the content sound like us? +
Yes. Before we write anything we build a positioning brief that captures your brand voice, key messages, and the story you want to tell. Our editorial team then writes in a style that fits both your brand and the publication’s audience, so you won’t receive generic, templated content.
What happens if we don’t approve a piece of content? +
We revise it. Every piece goes through an approval process before it’s pitched to a publication, and we’ll keep refining until you’re happy. We’d rather get it right than rush a piece out that doesn’t represent your brand well.
Does our content still need to meet each publication’s editorial standards? +
Absolutely, and that is a feature, not a limitation. Every publication we work with has its own editorial guidelines, tone, and quality standards, and all content we produce is written to meet them. This is precisely what makes our placements editorially credible rather than paid advertorials. Content that reads like genuine editorial coverage is content that your audience trusts, that Google values, and that builds lasting authority. We handle the work of matching your message to each publication’s requirements, and you get the credibility that comes with it.
Results & Reporting
How will we know what we’re getting? +
Every campaign includes a placement report with live URLs, publication DA scores, estimated traffic figures, anchor text used, and AI citation tracking where applicable. You’ll always know exactly what went live, where, and what it’s worth.
How long does it take to see results in search rankings? +
Editorial backlinks from high-DA publications typically start influencing domain authority and keyword rankings within 4–8 weeks of going live. Significant ranking movement usually becomes visible within 3–4 months of a sustained campaign. SEO results compound, so the longer you run, the stronger the effect.
Can you guarantee placements in specific publications? +
We don’t make guarantees on specific publications because editorial decisions ultimately rest with each outlet’s editorial team. What we do guarantee is that we’ll pitch your content to the right publications, follow up persistently, and and we replace any pitch that doesn’t land with a comparable alternative, so your placement count is always met.
Pricing & Contracts
Can I cancel at any time? +
Yes. All plans are monthly with no lock-in contracts. We ask for 30 days’ notice to wind down active campaigns cleanly, but there are no penalties or cancellation fees.
Are there any setup fees or hidden charges? +
No. The monthly plan price covers everything, from strategy and content creation to pitching, placement, and reporting. There are no onboarding fees, no content fees, and no surprise charges. What you see on the pricing page is what you pay.
Do you offer one-off campaigns rather than monthly retainers? +
Yes. We run project-based campaigns for specific objectives such as market launches, fundraising rounds, and reputation recovery. These are scoped individually. Get in touch to discuss what you need.
Can we upgrade or downgrade our plan? +
Yes. You can move between plans at any time. Most clients start on the Authority Starter plan and move to Growth Authority once they’ve seen the impact of the first few placements. We recommend an upgrade when it makes sense for your goals, and not before.
AI Visibility
What is AI visibility and why does it matter? +
AI visibility refers to whether your brand appears in responses generated by AI tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and Google AI Overviews. As more B2B buyers use AI to research vendors and products, being cited in AI-generated answers is rapidly becoming as important as ranking on page one of Google.
How do editorial placements improve AI visibility? +
LLMs like ChatGPT and Google’s AI Overviews draw heavily from high-authority editorial sources when generating recommendations and comparisons. By placing your brand in the publications these models trust most, we increase the probability that your brand is cited when someone asks an AI about your category or vertical.
How do you track AI citation performance? +
We run regular citation audits across ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews to check whether your brand appears in responses to high-intent queries in your category. These results are included in your monthly placement report so you can track improvement over time.
Reputation Management
How does editorial-based reputation management work? +
Rather than trying to suppress negative coverage directly, we build a sustained volume of high-authority positive editorial content that gradually displaces it in search results. Google ranks editorial content from high-DA publications very well, so a consistent flow of credible, positive coverage naturally pushes negative results down the page over time.
How long does reputation recovery take? +
It depends on the severity and volume of negative coverage, as well as the DA of the outlets carrying it. In most cases, measurable search narrative improvement becomes visible within 3–6 months of a sustained campaign. Full page-one narrative control typically takes 6–12 months. We’ll give you a realistic assessment at the strategy session.
Is reputation management included in the standard plans? +
Reputation management is included as a service in the Full Authority plan. For Starter and Growth clients, it can be added as a project-based engagement. Given the volume of placements typically required for meaningful narrative shift, most reputation campaigns work best under a dedicated scope, so contact us to discuss your situation.
